Dirigo Suite

Concert Band - 4

​

Written as a tribute to the folk song settings of Holst, Vaughan-Williams, and Grainger, the Dirigo Suite is a three-movement work incorporating folk songs and music with ties to the state of Maine. 

​

Duration: 10 minutes

An arrangement of Roger Vinton Snow's "State of Maine Song" with new second- and break-strains written by Hastings.

The Golden Hour

​

Evoking the gentle textures of a landscape bathed in golden light, The Golden Hour also features the perfect ratio, Fibonacci Sequence, and "perfect" musical intervals.
